Filmed in Pikeville, Kentucky, a small town in the Appalachian Mountains, "Mother Love" follows four mothers and daughters of contrasting age, class and family dynamics. The women’s stories reflect individual circumstances, but also echo similar themes, proving there are certain traits that almost all mother/daughter relationships have in common. The film played at festivals around the country winning the Chris Award at the Columbus Film Festival. Following the festival circuit, PBS broadcast the film to a national audience.
